Julia Jardim is a wedding photographer currently based between Portugal and The Netherlands and shooting exclusively on 35mm and medium format film. She chooses analog because of the intentional, almost artisanal aspect of the process, as it offers an opportunity to slow down and remove all unnecessary noise from the creative process. The result is a photographic approach that is meaningful, honest, and of true emotional value to the people being photographed.

The multitude of backgrounds that make up her life is woven effortlessly in Julia's photographic style, and she tries to stay away from photo trends and the constant noise of ever-changing demands that the wedding industry creates, focusing her energy, instead, on the power of human interaction and human emotion, and on creating work that is able to stand the test of time.

Julia is available for weddings throughout Europe and Brazil. Her most common destinations are France, Belgium, London (and the south of England), The Netherlands, and Portugal.

Julia was born in Brazil and now shares her life with her wife, Joana, and their dog Caju, a small rescue from Romania named after one of Julia's favourite Brazilian fruits. As a queer Latin-American artist, Julia actively tries to create a safe space for love and life in all its forms and shapes in her work, making sure that all are welcome and all feel respected and seen in front of her lens.

Julia considers an image to be good when it is authentic, creative, natural yet unique.
