Vintage inspired elopement photographed on film in Portugal

Reyna and Alex felt like old friends from the moment I received their first email - a beautiful, carefully written, heartfelt account of their plans and their dreams for an elopement in Portugal. Finding a photographer that truly understood their vision and whose work they admired was one of their top priorities, and their vision for the images was very clear. Throughout the process I constantly felt like we were creative collaborators, and the end result you see here is their doing as much as mine. They dreamt of untouched nature as a backdrop and chose the wild coast just south of Lisbon as the perfect place to exchange their vows. They dream of walking barefoot on wet sand and dancing to the sound of the waves under the stars.

Every single detail of their wedding felt like a work of art. As we walked through narrow dirt paths that crossed the hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, them dressed in vintage pieces carefully collected over time, I felt constantly in awe of their free spirits and magical energy. Their wedding was an experience that didn't belong in this world, and I still remember it as if it were a beautiful dream.
