Julia Jardim is a film photographer based in Amsterdam and working primarily in the Netherlands and the UK. She focuses on Weddings and Family portraits, using both 35mm and medium format film and a photojournalistic approach to create images that are unique, honest and unconventional.
Born and raised in Brazil until her early twenties, Julia has since lived in Portugal and London before settling in Amsterdam, where she now shares life with her wife, Joana, and their small rescue dog, Caju. The multitude of backgrounds that make up her life's experience is woven effortlessly in her photographic style.
Julia is a queer artist and actively tries to create a safe space for love and life in all its forms in her work, making sure that all are welcome in front of her lens.
